All Shades are covered with Birch Bark and secured with Grape Vine, which is sewed by hand with wax linen or Sineux thread to the frame. They are then sealed with an acrylic polyeurethane. Shade frames are inspired by the artist's addiction to Rummage Sales. She has been known to stop by "Free" signs along the road. She refers to this unique style as "recycled".
